War Horse
Score 6.5
This movie was a lot more horse than war. If you go into this movie thinking your going to get a bit of war action, you will be disappointed. The movie takes place in the beginning of the first world war. A down on his luck farmer overpays for a horse to help plow his farm. Think "Rudy" of horses. Small in stature, big in spirit. The farmers son grows attached to the horse over time. In a last ditch effort to save the farm, the owner sells the horse to the military.
The "war horse" makes it through a few tough spots through out the movie and always comes out on top. In the end horse and boy are reunited. The movie is shot well, the acting is descent. Most the ladies in the theater didn't have a dry eye. It was a touching feel good story to say the least. In my opinion just a bit slow and didn't add up to the title of the movie.
